What a circle is
Small online grief circles for anyone carrying a loss, and for parents holding a grieving family. The first circle opens this spring.
❋ A Mud Room Circle is sixty minutes to set down what you're carrying, in the company of people who understand. We gather on Zoom, settle the body, reflect together, and close by lighting a candle together. You don't have to explain your loss or have the right words. You just have to come as you are.
How a circle works
Set down. We start with "shoes off": one quiet minute to set down what you've been carrying.
Settle. Gentle, seated grounding for the body. No yoga experience needed.
Make room. A theme, a few reflection prompts, and time to share in the group if you want to.
Carry home. We close by lighting a candle together for who or what we're carrying, and each sharing one word to take with us. You leave with a take-home card and one practice for the weeks ahead.
❋
Is this for me?
A circle might be for you if:
you're grieving someone, this year or many years ago
you're carrying a loss that isn't a death: a home, a country, a marriage, or the life you expected
you're parenting a child or teen who is grieving
you're not sure what you're feeling, only that it's heavy
❋ Circles aren't the right fit if you're in crisis or need individual care. Please call or text 988, or reach out to a licensed therapist. Circles are for adults 18 and over.Be the first to know
Circles are small, about 8 to 12 people, so everyone can be heard. Join the list and you'll get the date and first access to seats before anyone else.
